Well after a bit of a hiatus on iOS Dev, i’m back. I added a new “SpiffyDialogViewController” to the MT.D.Ext library today.
Its based off of Miguel’s code sample in MT.d to do a background image on a UITable, but wasn’t working correctly on the iPad aka not at all.

| MonoTouch News - Apple iPhone OS compiler policy may lead to antitrust probe
The US Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission may be considering an investigation into Apple's decision to block iPhone OS apps created by many third-party compilers. According to insiders speaking to the New York Post, the two organizations are "locked in negotiations" over which one will launch the antitrust inquiry, and the decision is mere "days away."

| MonoTouch News - MonoTouch 3.0 - Preview 1 - Released
We have just released MonoTouch 3.0.0 with support for iPhoneOS 4.0's new APIs. To try it out, you need to have Apple's iPhone 4.0 SDK installed otherwise MonoTouch 2.0 wont let you download the new toolkit (since it is Apple confidential at this point).
This release is a preview, the final release will be some sort of 3.0.XX number.

| MonoTouch News - MonoTouch Roadmap added to MonoTouch.Net Website
Originally there was a roadmap and then at some point it disappeared (although you could still find it via google cache). It looks like the roadmap was added to the MonoTouch.Net wiki on the 25th of Feb and I like what I'm reading :) It gives some idea of when we may start to see Silverlight/Moonlight with MonoTouch and when MonoDroid may start making an appearance. Looking forward to it. I think being able to build the UI in Silverlight and re-use across MonoDroid, MonoTouch etc will be a great selling ...
